JetBlue Boston flights start again on March 27
Air service between Bermuda and Boston will return next month as British Airways flights are subject to changes, according the Skyport.
The March schedule shows JetBlue flights to Boston returning on March 27 after a nearly five month pause.
Stephen Todd, the chief executive officer of the Bermuda Hotels Association, said that the return of the Boston flights was “very welcome news” to hoteliers.
He added: “We’ve long-held the view that the Boston uplift and airlift out of that particular market is key for our business from the New England area.
“So we that as very welcome news, not just on the part of our industry but also the benefits that will be received by the wider business community.”
The airline ended its Boston flights to the island for the winter, with the last taking off in November.
It also confirmed in January that it would cancel its winter flights for this year, with a pause in their flights to New York and Boston starting in October and returning spring next year.
British Airways flights will take place every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday of March, and then from March 27 it will shift to the last Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Arrival times will vary between 5.40pm and 7.05pm while departure times will range from 8.15pm to 9.20pm.
Service through American Airlines, WestJet and Delta will continue as normal.
The March schedule lists 154 flights throughout the month and averages about five flights per day, with March 27 having the most of the month at seven flights.
