Teenaged motorcyclist hurt after crash in Paget
A teenaged motorcyclist was treated for a broken arm and other injuries yesterday after he came off his bike and collided with a wall.
A police spokesman said that the man, aged 19, was travelling west on South Shore Road in Paget when he attempted to overtake another vehicle.
The rider instead lost control and collided with a wall, near Southcote Road.
He was said to have been in and out of consciousness and suffered a broken arm and cuts to his body.
EMTs, who arrived shortly before 2pm, treated his injuries at the scene and took him to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
Traffic was diverted away from the area as the scene was processed. It was reopened later this afternoon.
