Teenage crash victim recovering

A 17-year-old boy who was found lying unresponsive in the road after a suspected motorcycle crash is continuing to recover in hospital, police said today.

A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said the Southampton resident, who sustained head and facial injuries as well as abrasions in the crash on Friday evening, was transferred yesterday from the Intensive Care Unit to a general ward.

He is expected to be discharged from the hospital in due course.

The spokesman said inquiries are continuing into the suspected crash, which occurred at about 6.45pm on Camp Hill Road, Southampton near Fork Lane, leaving the teenager injured and unresponsive lying in the road.

Constable Rajiv Bailey is still interested in speaking with anyone that has information regarding this incident and has appealed again for those who can assist to call 211 or e-mail rbailey@bps.bm as soon as possible.
