Rosa’s raises funds for collision victim
A Hamilton restaurant will offer a new cocktail this month to raise funds for the funeral of a young woman who lost her life on Bermuda’s roads.
Until the end of August, Rosa’s Cantina is offering customers a cocktail called the Darling Peach with 100 per cent of proceeds of the drink’s sales to support the family of Troni Robinson-Burgess.
Ms Burgess was killed in a collision on South Road in Southampton, just west of Horseshoe Road, on July 28.
A spokeswoman for Rosa’s said: “We reached out to the family because we felt that it was such a tragedy that she lost her life at just 22 years old.
“We just wanted to reach out to see what we could do to help raise money for her funeral.”
The Darling Peach, a frozen drink, will be available as a cocktail for $14 or a non-alcoholic mocktail for $10.
