Elderly woman hurt in Paget collision

A “serious collision” involving a car and a motorbike took place Sunday morning, the Bermuda Police Service said.

A BPS spokeswoman stated of the 11.20am collision: “It’s believed that both vehicles were travelling in opposite directions along Middle Road near the junction with Chapel Road, when the collision occurred.

“The elderly female motorcycle rider is said to have sustained a serious hand injury. She was conveyed to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment.

“The female driver of the car was not reported to be injured.”

The road was closed so that traffic accident investigators could “process the scene”, the BPS said.

And traffic diversions were put in place during the situation.

Witnesses have been asked to contact police constable Sasha Franks on sfranks@bps.bm or by calling 211.
