The bus service resumed at 6am today under the regular Sunday schedule.

The Ministry of National Security announced the news during a post-hurricane update this evening.

Michael Weeks, the Minister of National Security, confirmed that the Emergency Measures Organisation stood down yesterday afternoon and the Regiment embodiment has concluded.

Mr Weeks said: "We were very blessed to have had such minor damage, and the island is quickly getting back to normal as the clean-up continues. There are still quite a number of homes without power and Belco is working on getting them back online as soon as possible. Belco will continue to provide further updates.

“I wish to thank the services that worked through the hurricane and are still cleaning up, and the public for taking the threat seriously and preparing for the storm.

“The preparation undoubtedly minimised the damage and enabled us to be up and running so quickly. Unfortunately, hurricane season is not over. We will use the lessons learnt from this storm to be even more prepared for the next."
