Cyclist suffers head injuries after collision in Hamilton

A cyclist was taken to hospital yesterday morning after suffering head injuries in a crash.
A Bermuda Police Service spokeswoman said: “At around 11.30am, a car heading east on Dundonald Street was turning onto Cedar Avenue, when it is believed the male cyclist ran a red light and collided with the vehicle.
“The cyclist was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, the extent of his injuries is not known at this time and the driver of the car is not reported to be injured.”
The spokeswoman said part of the road between Brunswick Street and Cedar Avenue, is closed while the scene is examined by officers.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is urged to contact Pc Tyler Nelmes on 211 or e-mail tnelmes@bps.bm.
