Male motorcyclist in critical condition after collision

A male motorcycle rider suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision with a car last night on North Shore Road, Devonshire.

Police and emergency medical services staff were dispatched at 9.25pm to a serious two-vehicle collision near the junction with Loyal Hill, a police spokesman said.

He added: “Indications are a motorcar was exiting a driveway onto the westbound lane of North Shore Road when it was struck by a motorcycle travelling west.

“The male motorcycle rider was attended to at the scene by EMTs and was subsequently transported by ambulance to hospital for what were described as life-threatening injuries.”

The spokesman said the man is listed in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

Neither the woman car driver nor the other two occupants of the vehicle were injured.

North Shore Road was closed off between Northridge Crescent and Loyal Hill for approximately three hours while the collision scene was processed.

An investigation into this collision has begun and anyone with information is asked to e-maill Police Constable Jennifer Suter at jsuter@bps.bm
