Two women were injured in a three-vehicle collision on Somerset Bridge yesterday afternoon.

Police said that at about 4.15pm they were dispatched to the incident involving a woman motorcyclist who, while overtaking a line of traffic heading west, collided with a van and taxi travelling in the opposite direction.

A spokeswoman for the Bermuda Police Service said: “Both the rider and her female pillion passenger were reported to be injured.

“Injuries sustained are not believed to be serious. However, both women were transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.”

Traffic was disrupted in the area for about 30 minutes while the scene was processed.
