Tourist injured in scooter crash on North Shore Road
A tourist is being treated for injuries after her rental scooter went over an embankment on North Shore Road yesterday.
Police and emergency personnel attended the scene near the junction with Jennings Road, Smith’s, at 11.17am.
A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said: “The BPS responded to the collision scene shortly after the Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service personnel encountered the incident.
“While the exact circumstances remain unclear at this time, it was reported that the injured party, a female tourist, and her husband were travelling in the eastbound lane on separate rental cycles when the woman lost control of her vehicle and as a result, went over an embankment.
“The woman was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance where she is being treated for multiple injuries.
