Two motorists were taken to hospital after a two-vehicle collision in Devonshire on Saturday, police said.

The Bermuda Police Service first said that the collision involving a van and motorbike occurred at the junction of Chaingate Hill and Middle Road shortly after 6.20am on October 28.

Later they added that the motorbike travelling east on Middle Road reportedly struck the front of the van, which was heading in the opposite direction.

A statement said: “The motorcycle rider and pillion passenger, both males, sustained head and leg injuries and were in and out of consciousness.”

Both men were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital Hospital after being treated at the scene by medical personnel.

Their injuries are considered serious but not life-threatening at this time, and the driver of the van was not reported injured during the incident.
