West End drivers advised to take care for cycle race on Sunday
The inaugural Bermuda Triathlon Association Cambridge Beaches Road Race will affect West End roads on Sunday, the Ministry of Public Works announced.
Traffic control can be expected between 7.30am and 9.30am.
Cyclists will set off from the car park of Somerset Long Bay on Daniel's Head Road on to Cambridge Road, south on Mangrove Bay Road to Somerset Road and across Watford Bridge into Dockyard.
They will exit Dockyard over the bridge, with some of the cyclists returning to Somerset Long Bay, while adult cyclists will turn at the Mangrove Bay bus stop for a second lap through Dockyard before going to Somerset Long Bay car park.
Police and race officials will help with traffic control, and no parking will be permitted on the southern side of Watford Bridge at the parking lot and bus turnaround.
Queries can be directed to Geoffrey Smith, of the Bermuda Tourism Authority, on 747-2302.
