BermudAir scales back service to Westchester
New airline BermudAir will end its morning service to Westchester later this month.
A company spokeswoman confirmed that the last morning flight to Westchester will take off from L.F. Wade International Airport on Tuesday.
But the airline’s evening flight to Westchester will still be operational, flying every Monday and Wednesday through Sunday.
Earlier this week BermudAir announced the launch of two new routes to Baltimore and Orlando in addition to services to Westchester, Boston and Fort Lauderdale.
The spokeswoman said: “Our goal is always to optimise our flight schedule with the interests of our customers and Bermuda in mind.
“While adding our two new routes, we’ve taken the opportunity to remove the morning flight to Westchester, given that the time slots allocated to BermudAir did not help us properly meet that goal.
“Customer feedback also provided input for this decision.
“However, the evening service to and from Westchester will remain in place, to ensure customer travel needs and connectivity to Bermuda on this route can still be met.”
