Lane closure on Trimingham Road

A key route in and out of the city will be affected by a temporary lane closure when works are carried out on Thursday, the Ministry of Public Works announced today.

Trimingham Road is to be reduced to one-way traffic towards the roundabout with The Lane, Berry Hill Road and Crow Lane between 9am and 4pm.

The closure is to accommodate CCTV installation and grate repair work.

The ministry said outbound traffic from the City of Hamilton would be detoured through Point Finger Road and The Lane.

Motorists will not be granted access up Trimingham Road heading south.

The ministry urged motorists to use caution when travelling north along Trimingham Road past the two work sites.

Trenching representatives will manage the flow of traffic using cones and signs.

The ministry encouraged the public’s co-operation and apologised for any inconvenience.

Questions about the works can be directed to Kip Froud of Invisible Trenching on 334- 7159.
