Motorists in the East End could face traffic disruptions on Sunday morning when the Bermuda Bicycle Association holds time trials.

The races start at 7.30am on Kindley Field Road, with competitors heading on to St David's Road, Great Bay Road and Cashew City Road before going back to Kindley Field Road.

The race then proceeds to Hamilton Parish via the causeway, going west up to the Blue Hole Hill roundabout. Competitors will then head back east along the same route, crossing the finish line on Kindley Field Road.

The racing is expected to take one hour and conclude by 8.30am.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Public Works said: “All motorists are expected to use caution and to avoid collision with race participants.

“The race route will be under the control of race marshals. Motorists must follow the instructions from the race marshals to assist with traffic control for this event.

“There will be no roads closed to traffic while the time trial takes place. The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full co-operation of the motoring public and apologises for any inconvenience that may result.”
