Roads in St David’s will be closed on June 15 for the Iron Kids Triathlon, the Ministry of Public Works has announced.

The ministry said the three races will begin at Clearwater Beach parking lot, continue to the roundabout and west on Southside Road to Tommy Fox Road and Lower Gates Road.

Triathletes will then turn at the roundabout and finish at Clearwater Beach parking lot.

Those roads will be closed to all traffic during the events, which will take place between 10.45am and 1pm.

Motorists will be free to park in any designated parking bay along the route during the events, but must not impede or block participants.

“In addition, the police are hereby authorised to close off streets or parts of streets and authorise parking as the Commissioner of Police decides”, the ministry added.

The ministry encouraged the public’s co-operation during the closure and apologised for any inconvenience.

Questions can be directed to Select Site Group Race representative Chris Williams on 334-8351.
