Road to be closed for Pembroke block party

A section of road in Pembroke will be closed off for a community day block party on Saturday.

Mount Hill will be closed to traffic between the junctions of Swansbay Hill/Twin Lane Place and Overview Hill/Bluff Lane. The road will be closed from noon until midnight.

According to the Ministry of Public Works, traffic controls will be managed by representatives of the event.

Drivers are advised to detour via Berkeley Road or Langton Hill.

There will be further traffic disruptions throughout next week to enable Belco to carry out trenching work.

A section of Middle Road in Warwick near the junction with Riddell's Bay Road will be reduced to one lane between 7.30am and 5pm from Monday through Friday.

Belco staff will control traffic using barricades, stop-and-go signs, and cones. Motorists are advised to drive carefully through this area to ensure their safety and the safety of the workers.
