Taxi in sea in Paget, riders hurt in Devonshire crash

A taxi crashed through a wall and landed in the water on Saturday afternoon on Harbour Road in Paget.

Police reported at 4.15pm that the vehicle had four occupants, all of whom were pulled free, with one sustaining a minor injury.

The scene of the crash was closed to traffic.

Detours were in place at the junction of Harbour Road and Lover’s Lane as well as the junction of Harbour Road and Chapel Road, Paget.

Shortly after 5.30pm, police reported a collision involving a motorcycle and a car at the junction of Happy Valley Road and Montpelier Road in Devonshire.

The motorcycle riders sustained injuries which were not believed to be life-threatening.

The crash scene was closed to traffic, with detours at Shelton Road and Montpelier Road.
