The eastbound lane of North Shore Road in Flatts is to be closed so that storm drain cleaning can take place.

The Ministry of Public Works said that the lane closure will be from 9am to 2pm either on June 27 or June 28, depending on the weather.

A spokesman added: “Traffic control measures will be implemented under the direction of Ministry of Public Works representatives, utilising stop-and-go signs and cones to manage vehicle flow.

“Motorists are advised to use Middle Road as an alternative route to avoid this section on North Shore Road in Flatts Village.

“The Ministry of Public Works encourages the full co-operation of the motoring public and apologises for any inconvenience that may result.”

Any questions about the works can be directed to Tina Beer-Searle, the ministry’s principal highways engineer, on 501-3044.
