Parking restrictions will be in effect during the Eastern Counties cricket games next month, the Ministry of Public Works advised today.

A spokesman said the restrictions will be in place in St David’s all day on August 17 and 31 to ensure that emergency vehicles can access Lord’s Oval.

No parking will be permitted from the bus shelter near St David’s Primary School to the entrance of the Gunner Bay Park turnaround along Cashew City Road.

Parking will also not be allowed along Great Bay Road, Battery Road and from the junction of St David’s Road with Texas Road to the old post office site during the games.

The spokesman added: “Any vehicles parked in the No Parking restriction area during these dates will be ticketed by the police.”

Questions can be directed to principal highways engineer Tina Beer-Searle on 501-3044.
