Part of St David’s Road to remain closed

Part of St David’s Road will remain closed until next month

Part of St David’s Road will remain closed until next month, the Ministry of Public Works said.

A spokesman said the closure between Stock’s Road and Kindley Field Road, which commenced on July 15, will continue to September 20, so work near Stokes Point Bridge bend can be completed.

Work will be done between 7.30am and 5pm Monday through Friday and traffic will be detoured through Kindley Field Park to Waller’s Point Road and Southside Road during the closure.

The ministry will manage traffic in the area with signs, barricades and cones.

The spokesman apologised for any inconvenience the closure may cause and encouraged motorists to be cautious and yield for pedestrians along the detoured route.

Questions can be directed to principal highways engineer Tina Beer-Searle at 501-3044.
