A mechanical problem with a ferry will cause a series of cancellations tomorrow, the Department of Marine and Ports Services announced.

A Government spokeswoman said the vessel Cecil Smith had encountered mechanical issues.

The cancelled trips included the 7.30am and 9.30am ferries from Hamilton to Dockyard; and the 8am and 10am ferries from Dockyard to Hamilton.

Additionally, the 4pm ferry from St George’s to Dockyard has been rescheduled to depart the East End at 2pm.

The spokeswoman added: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding as we work to resolve this issue promptly.”
