Athletic events to bring possible traffic delays
There will be potential traffic delays as a result of two significant athletic events on Sunday.
The MAAC Beyond Fitness 5km race will take place in Pembroke between 8.30am and 9.30am.
Motorists were advised to expect potential delays, especially along the race route.
The race begins at the corner of Dundonald Street and Cedar Avenue. It turns right on to Marsh Folly Road and continues along Palmetto Road until turning left at the roundabout on to Dock Hill.
It will then turn left on to North Shore Road and left on to Black Watch Pass. The participants will then turn on to Marsh Folly Road, left on to Cedar Avenue and right on to Dundonald Street before finishing at Masters Home Centre car park.
Police officers and race marshals will direct traffic along the route.

Meanwhile, the Bermuda Triathlon Association is to host its Standard Distance National Championship Triathlon in St George’s between 7.30am and 9.30am.
It will also involve road closures which may impact traffic flow near the race site.
The triathlon begins and ends at the car park opposite Clearwater Beach. Participants will proceed north along Cooper’s Island Road until reaching the roundabout. They will then head west on to Southside Road and continue to the roundabout near Carter House.
The participants will take the turn to continue east on Southside Road, to the second roundabout where they exit on to Cooper’s Island Road to the finish line.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Public Works said: “The ministry urges all motorists to plan their journeys accordingly, exercise caution and adhere to all traffic controls and signage in the affected areas.
“The ministry appreciates the public's co-operation and understanding during these events.”
Road closures are not anticipated during the event so motorists were advised to use caution and follow instructions from those directing the traffic.
However, the Bermuda Police Service is authorised to close roads if required.
