Two motorcyclists hurt in separate crashes this week

Two motorcyclists injured during separate traffic incidents have received treatment for non-life threatening injuries, police said today.

A 45-year-old Warwick woman was involved in a collision with the rear of a car driving out of Jones Lane in Warwick at about 2.20pm on Sunday.

Traffic diversions were in place along Harbour Road for about two hours while the scene was processed.

Another woman, a 33-year-old Pembroke resident, suffered injuries on Monday after she crashed into debris on the eastbound lane of North Shore Road, near Winton Hill Lane in Hamilton Parish.

An off-duty firefighter provided first aid at the scene before on-duty Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service and ambulance personnel arrived.

The woman was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

Traffic diversions were in place for about two hours while the scene was processed.

Inquiries continued for both incidents and any witnesses who have not yet come forward were encouraged to call 211 as soon as they can.
