Traffic on Middle Road in Southampton was temporarily reduced to a single lane after what police describe as a “serious road traffic collision”.

A police spokesman said the collision took place in the area of Middle Road and Granaway Heights Road

“Police officers are at the scene and traffic has been restricted to one lane,” the spokesman said. “Please approach the area with caution.”

As of 6.30pm, the roadway had been cleared and regular traffic flow had resumed.
