Lane closure in Warwick this month

A section of Middle Road in Warwick will be reduced to single lane traffic for a period this month, the Ministry of Public Works said.

The ministry said the closure will start from November 4 to November 22 on weekdays between 7.30am and 4pm.

A spokesman said the closure, which is to extend from the Belco Belmont substation tower to Langford Road, is to facilitate paving works.

The ministry’s representatives will manage traffic using barricades, signs and cones.

Motorists were encouraged to use detour routes via Keith Hall Road to Harbour Road to the east, or Longford Road to Harbour Road to the west at the affected section of the roadway.

The ministry encouraged co-operation from motorists and apologised for any inconvenience.

Questions about the works can be directed to Tina Beer-Searle, principal highways engineer, on 501-3044.
