BermudAir expands service to three US routes
With the plans to expand its fleet next year, island airline BermudAir is to operate non-stop service to three new destinations in the United States from April, the carrier announced.
The airline said it will operate year-round flights to Bradley International Airport in Connecticut, Raleigh-Durham Airport in North Carolina and Charleston International Airport in South Carolina.
The new destinations, which are subject to regulatory approval, are available with fares starting at $239, the airline said yesterday.
The carrier said: “With the only direct flight options to these key North American cities, Bermudians are now just a short flight away from vibrant new cultures, incredible destinations and endless opportunities for business and leisure.”
It said the new routes were expected to open the door for more visitors to Bermuda, boosting the island’s accessibility.
The airline added: “The new cities will provide locals with more travel options and fresh opportunities for tourism, business and cultural exchange.”
Adam Scott, the chief executive, said: “We are thrilled to offer Bermuda residents even more direct flight options to explore and connect with exciting North American cities.
“These new routes are a big win for the island, providing opportunities to experience new cultures, enjoy world-class amenities and contribute to a thriving economy through both inbound and outbound travel.”
The airline will operate its Embraer twin-engined aircraft on the routes, with both business and economy class options available for travellers.
It said the extra routes coincide with the planned expansion of its fleet, including the addition of two new aircraft in the first half of 2025.
One of the new aircraft will be fully dedicated to scheduled service while the other will be used to provide operational flexibility, charter and medevac service.
BermudAir said travellers can enjoy its “signature” in-flight service, with complimentary Bermuda-sourced beverages and snacks.
Mr Scott said: “These new routes give Bermuda residents more ways to visit family, explore new business opportunities and embrace exciting adventures in three diverse US cities.
“With our expanded fleet, we are ready to meet the growing travel demand, ensuring every journey is a smooth and reliable experience.”
