A portion of Pitts Bay Road will be closed temporarily to traffic this weekend for a crane lift in the area.
A notice issued by the Ministry of Public Works said Pitts Bay Road between Waterloo Lane and Woodbourne Avenue will be shut on Saturday and Sunday to “facilitate a safe crane lift operation”.
Workers are expected to be on site between 7.30am and 5pm on both days.
“Motorists are advised to use alternative routes during this period,” the notice said.
“The ministry apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks the public for their understanding and co-operation.”
The work was originally scheduled to take place earlier this month but was pushed back because of weather.
