A charity race will affect traffic in Pembroke on Sunday, the Ministry of Public Works said.

A spokesman urged motorists to use caution during the Bermuda Red Cross Jingle Bell 5km race, which will set off from Pitts Bay Road at 8.30am.

Participants will head to St John’s Road, and turn left on Langton Hill to North Shore Road’s junction with Spanish Point and St John’s Road.

They will then turn at the roundabout at St John’s and Pitts Bay Roads and finish on Mill Reach Road.

Police and marshals will direct traffic during the race, which is scheduled to finish by 10am.

The roads are expected to remain open, but police are permitted to partially or completely close off roads and authorise parking as the commissioner decides.

Questions can be directed to race representative Jenny Farer on 532-2402.
