Police: three injured in two-car St David’s collision

A car was left overturned after a collision at the East End last week.

A police spokesman said that officers were called to Tommy Fox Road, St George’s, near its junction with Southside Road on 8.15pm on Friday.

They discovered a car flipped on its side and found that the driver had fled on foot.

Officers deduced that two cars had been travelling in opposite directions when they collided.

The driver and passenger of the other car, a St George’s man and a Paget woman, both aged 26, were injured and taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment and discharged.

The driver of the overturned car, a 31-year-old St George’s man, turned himself in to police several hours later. He appeared to have sustained a non-life threatening injury.

Traffic was affected as officers processed the scene for about two hours.

Any witnesses that have not already come forward were urged to call Pc Gregory White on 717-2226 or e-mail him at gwhite@bps.bm.
