Public works ministry warns of limited road access near Flatts

Lane closures

Lane closures will affect a portion of North Shore Road for a month to allow for plant removal and fencing, the public works ministry has announced.

The section, between Barker’s Hill in Devonshire and Flatts Village, will be subject to rolling lane closures.

Work will start on Monday and continue until February 7, from 7.30am to 4pm.

Traffic will be under the direction of ministry representatives using barricades, signs, cones and traffic lights.

A spokesman recommended motorists take detours on to Middle Road.

He added: “The Ministry of Public Works encourages full co-operation of the motoring public and apologises for any convenience that may result.

“If you have any question about these works, please contact the Ministry of Public Works principal highways engineer Tina Beer-Searle on 501-3044.”
