Man admitted to hospital after two-car collision

A man was admitted to hospital after a two-car collision in Hamilton Parish on Sunday night.

The crash took place on Blue Hole Hill near North Shore Road at about 9.15pm.

A woman driver and two male passengers were travelling in one car and two men were in the second vehicle.

One of the passengers in the first vehicle — a 27-year-old St George’s resident — suffered a head injury and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for medical assessment.

A police spokesman said that the two men in the second car fled the scene on foot.

He added: “A male, believed to be the driver of the second car, later attended Southside Police Station.”

Traffic flow near the scene was disrupted for about two hours.

Any witnesses that have not already come forward are asked to contact Constable Justice McDermot on 211, or by e-mail at jmcdermot@bps.bm.
