Ferry service returns after weekend suspension
The ferry service has resumed full operations this morning after being suspended owing to inclement weather.
Service for all routes was halted at about 1pm yesterday over wind and the forecast for conditions.
Ferry service operations were staggered throughout last week as poor weather kept the boats docked.
The Department of Marine and Ports Services halted the ferry service all day last Tuesday because of the harsh winds.
Boats were anchored for a second time on Thursday over similar gale-force winds — this time being out of commission until Saturday.
The Bermuda Weather Service suggested that winds would be light today, but grow to moderate strength overnight and tomorrow.
Gale-force winds are expected to arrive on Wednesday, bringing with them some showers, before decreasing to moderate to strong for the rest of the week.
