A projected total of 510,250 cruise ship passengers are expected to visit the island this year, the Ministry of Transport said.

The figure came as Wayne Furbert, the transport minister, officially signed passenger ship permits for all cruise ships scheduled to arrive in Bermuda during the 2025 season.

A government spokeswoman said that since the initial publication of the 2025 cruise ship schedule in late 2024, two calls were cancelled.

The revised estimate included 177 cruise ship visits, she added.

Mr Furbert said: “We are excited to welcome visitors from around the world to experience the beauty and hospitality of Bermuda.

“The cruise ship industry is a vital part of our tourism sector, and we are committed to ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all passengers.”
