Man walks away from flipped car uninjured

The scene of a freak crash in Pembroke in which no one was hurt

A car driver escaped serious injury on Wednesday night after his vehicle flipped while attempting to park it.

Police said that the driver, a 35-year-old Pembroke man, attempted to park at a home in the Rockville Lane neighbourhood in Pembroke at about 10.50pm.

The car, however, went into reverse and flipped on to the driveway of the home below.

The driver was able to exit the flipped car and was not seriously injured. Nevertheless, he was transported to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital out of protocol when emergency personnel arrived.

The other car that the vehicle landed on was also damaged, but no one was inside and no bystanders suffered any injuries.

Witnesses were encouraged to call 211.
