New flights take to the skies next month
Airlift to and from the island is set to pick up next month as new flights are launched and airlines bolster service for the summer season.
The April flight schedule, published by Skyport, shows the return of the American Airlines direct service to Philadelphia, effective from April 6, with four flights a week between the island and the city.
American Airlines is also scheduled to continue daily service to New York and Miami.
However, the airline is scheduled to scale back its service to Charlotte, with the daily service being reduced to five flights per week as of April 3.
BermudAir will take flight to three new destinations in the month, with flights to Hartford starting on April 3, Raleigh-Durham on April 11 and Charleston on April 19.
The airline will run two weekly flights to Hartford and Raleigh-Durham, along with one weekly Saturday flight to Charleston.
The airline will also bolster its service to Toronto with two extra flights per week, one extra weekly flight to Baltimore and one additional weekly flight to Halifax.
BermudAir is still scheduled to offer five weekly flights to Boston and Westchester, along with one weekly flight to Fort Lauderdale.
However, the airline will reduce its service to Orlando from two weekly flights to one.
Air Canada is also scheduled to increase service between the island and Toronto, with the airline bringing the number of weekly flights to four.
The schedule notes that the airline will not fly to the island on April 21, 25 and 28.
British Airways is set to resume daily service between Bermuda and London in April, while JetBlue is scheduled to resume daily service to Boston at the end of this month.
Delta Air Lines will continue to offer three weekly flights to Atlanta and four weekly flights to New York, while United Airlines will continue daily service to Newark.
