A female driver is being treated for a head injury after a collision yesterday.

A police spokesman said that officers attended the junction of North Shore Road with Cottage Hill Road in Hamilton Parish at about 8am.

Police were told that a car and a motorcycle were both travelling east along North Shore Road.

The car attempted a right-hand turn onto Cottage Hill Road when the vehicles collided.

The woman riding the motorcycle was said to be in and out of consciousness at the scene.

She was assisted by EMTs before being taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where, at last check, she was in stable condition.

The car driver, another woman, appeared to be uninjured.

The road was closed for about two hours as the scene was processed. Police thanked the public for their patience.

An investigation has begun, conducted by Pc Cecelia Wales.

Anyone with information is urged to e-mail Ms Wales at cwales@bps.bm or by calling the main police number, 295-0011.
