A stunt show is expected to feature as an explosive opener to this year’s Scooter Mart Motor Fest.

The event on Front Street on June 29 will feature a display of custom bikes and cars, entertainment, powerboat racing, drag bikes, acrobats and a charity ride-out to close the show.

Presented by Bermuda Charge, the event will run from 2pm to 7pm and organisers said it will feature a “unique blend of motor culture, creativity, and community spirit”.

The event will kick off with the Warwick Gombeys providing entertaining moves in the lead-up to the stunt show which will feature international rider Clutchup Corey on a 600cc Yamaha R6 bike.

Dubbed the “Mailboxes SEND IT Stunt Show”, the free exhibition will be on repeat two more times during the afternoon.

Judging for "Best in Show" vehicles starts immediately afterwards.

“Scooter Mart is thrilled to be the title sponsor of Motor Fest,” said Nick Thomson, the business’s president and founder.

He added: “This event brings together so many incredible bike and car enthusiasts, and it’s the perfect way to celebrate Bermuda’s colourful motoring traditions.”

David Cahill, event director at Bermuda Charge, said: “Scooter Mart Motor Fest has become a beloved annual tradition that celebrates our vibrant bike, car and boat culture.

“This year’s event will be more spectacular than ever, bringing together custom and classic bikes, vintage cars, powerboats and the passionate individuals who enjoy celebrating Bermuda's unique motoring heritage.”

Isle of Man Tourist Trophy race winner Steve Plater is expected as a special guest.

His previous visit was in 2019 when the event was held at Clearwater Beach and Mr Cahill said: “He's really excited to return to Bermuda and experience the festival vibes on Front Street.”
