More power cuts as high winds predicted

Houses in the West End suffered power cuts tonight.
The Belco website said a total of 23 houses in Southampton, Warwick and Sandys were affected.
The Royal Gazette also received unconfirmed reports of extensive outages in Devonshire.
The news came as winds were expected to pick up tonight and continue into tomorrow afternoon.
The Bermuda Weather Service said that winds of up to 40mph could be expected, as well as heavy showers and thunderstorms.
