Hurricane Franklin as seen from space
Hurricane Franklin is expected to bring tropical storm conditions to Bermuda today.
At 6am, the system was at Category 2 status and about 200 miles west-northwest of the island with winds of 110mph and gusts up to 130mph.
The Bermuda Weather Service said Franklin’s closest point of approach was expected to be 150 miles to the island’s north-northwest at 6pm today.
