November 1: Reports surfaced that two Cabinet Ministers were being relieved of their ministerial duties. This followed hints from the Premier herself at the ruling party's annual delegates conference that she was about to “shake things up”.November 2: Opposition One Bermuda Alliance Leader Craig Cannonier wins a landslide victory in the Devonshire South Central by-election to replace outgoing MP John Barritt.November 3: Premier shuffled her Cabinet and ushers in some major changes promoting former United Bermuda Party leader Wayne Furbert and the Progressive Labour Party's youngest MP Marc Bean.Cricketer-footballer Landro Minors died in a road crash.November 4: Vince Ingham and Diallo Rabain sworn in as PLP Senators. OBA revealed Toni Daniels and Michael Fahy as two new Senators to replace Leader Craig Cannonier, who became the MP for Devonshire South Central, and Kathy Michelmore who is leaving the Island.November 5: Job creation revealed as Government's top priority in the Throne Speech.November 7: Miss Bermuda Jana Outerbridge beat out numerous competitors in the 61st Miss World Competition which was broadcast live to millions of viewers across the world. She did the Island proud but was unable to bring home the title.November 8: Cargo ship Oleander, assisted the four man crew of 46 foot sailboat Elle which found itself in trouble on the high seas. The crew members were brought to land safely, but the sailboat was set adrift.November 10: Chamber of Commerce executive Stephen Todd was announced as a PLP candidate for the General Election.November 12: Staff and management at The Reefs were left stunned after a Molotov cocktail was thrown at the hotel's employees' dormitory.The attack came after industrial action at the Southampton resort when three Bermudian maintenance staff were told their jobs were to be cut.November 15: Environmental advocacy group, BEST, voiced concern that the Environment Minister Walter Roban upheld a planning appeal launched by his Cabinet colleague Zane DeSilva. The Environment Minister's decision was made on his last day in charge of that portfolioNovember 17: It emerged that Minister Roban had also upheld the planning appeal of Wayne Furbert, on his last day in charge of the portfolio.Premier Paula Cox told the AGM of the Association of Bermuda International Companies that her administration will make changes to work permits term limits and permanent residency policies as incentive for “job creators”.November 18: Walter Roban resigned his Cabinet portfolio due to controversy over his decision to uphold the planning appeals of Zane DeSilva and Wayne Furbert.Former Police Commissioner Jonathan Smith is unveiled as a General Election candidate for the PLP.November 19: Walter Roban, now a backbencher, said he does not regret decisions made when he was Environment Minister.The Opposition called for more resignations over the planning controversy.November 23: Jahmel Blakeney, son of Cabinet Minister Glenn Blakeney, and Sanchey Grant were convicted of attempted murder of Renee Kuchler and Shaki Minors at Southside cinema in November 2009.November 26: Hundreds of residents turned up for “Black Friday” deals showing up at a handful of Hamilton stores as early as 5am for extraordinary discounts.November 30: Concerns are raised at reports of prostitutes plying their trade on Front Street. OBA announced three candidates Jeanne Atherden, Shawn Crockwell and Ras Mykkal.
