Tropical Storm Karl not a threat

Tropical Storm Karl is not a threat to Bermuda at this time, according to the Bermuda Weather Service.
In its noon advisory, the BWS said the system was 1,843 nautical miles to the east-southeast of Bermuda and was moving west at 13mph.
Its closest point of approach within three days is forecast to be 1,164 nautical miles to the southeast at 12pm on Monday.
According to the National Hurricane Centre, maximum sustained winds are near 45mph with higher gusts and little change in strength is expected during the next 48 hours.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Julia was 556 nautical miles west of the island at noon today. The system, which is also not a threat to Bermuda, was heading southeast at about 5mph, with gusts between 35-45 knots.
