The Bermuda Weather Service Doppler radar system is back in operation.

A spokesman for the Bermuda Airport Authority said the system, which suffered a technical fault around October 6, returned to service on November 5.

Commissioned in October 2019, the system is about a third of the way through its 15-year life cycle.

The weather radar system has been operating at 96.7 per cent availability since it came into operation, excluding planned maintenance.
