Do not waste time comparing yourself to others
The success of others is not a measuring tool for your own personal journey.
This is such an important point to note because during your fitness and wellness journey you may find yourself surfing social media comparing yourself to others. More yet, you may be watching a friend as they progress and finding it hard to stop comparing yourself.
Stop it!
This is your journey and whilst it isn't bad to admire and be inspired by others it is so important to remain dedicated to your own journey, to recognise your own success, and be inspired by your own growth.
Don't cut yourself short; don’t be unkind to yourself while praising others.
If you saw your body on someone else you'd likely think they were amazing.
If you witnessed someone else be as committed and dedicated to their journey you'd praise them.
So why is it so hard to see your own growth, dedication, progress, success?
We are indeed our own worst critics but it's time to change the narrative. Every day, begin and end your day with positive affirmations.
Greet yourself with only positive vibes. Recognise where you can improve for sure, but remember to pat yourself on your own back for the progress you're making.
Be your biggest fan!
Take a step back, look in the mirror and smile. YOU are amazing. YOU are strong. YOU are capable. It's all YOU. All of it.
There's no need to question your progress or hate your body. There’s no need to mentally drain yourself because you are trying to be perfect.
Be happy with yourself, love your entire body, love your journey. Work to improve, yes, but enjoy the process and stop taking yourself so seriously.
Life is too short to be anything but happy – and YOU are in charge of that!
Happy Wednesday fitfam guys!!! Hug yourselves today!
