Chemistry just right for science fair
Mount Saint Agnes Academy student body finished their 2001 Science Fair and packed away hundreds of experiments that were showcased in the school courtyard.
A school spokesperson said the annual event, held every year, was the best she had seen in her time at the school and every students effort made them a winner.
Results from the Science Fair are: Integrated Science First place went to David Amaro and Michael Sinclair for their `How Do You Spell Relief' experiment & Acaia Trott and Tiffany Neimes for their `How Many Licks' experiment.
Second place; Joshua Emmerson for his `Gone With the Wind' experiment.
Third place; Sarah Fletcher and Christina F. for `Is Organic or Man-Made Feed Better?'; Mark Fox and Chris Every for `The Balloon that can go the Distance'; Brianna Croucher and Eileen Walsh for `Battery Power'.
Honourable mentions for Cassie Andrade and Krystle Caldwell for the `Watchin'em Grow' experiment; Jennifer Perreira and Maria DeBraga for the `Copper Cleanliness' experiment; Meghan Tatem and Haley Benevides for the `Fish-a-Licious' experiment.
Environmental Science First place went to Stephanie Rodill and Kerri-Lynn for `Dietz for Seismograph' experiment.
Second place; Chantal Brine and Nicola Arnold for `IC Vitamin' experiment.
Third place; Julia Gibson and Sabrina Cyrus for `H2O Cleaniness' experiment.
Honourable mention; Jon Armstrong and Jordan Benevides for `Breakfast' experiment.
Physics Honorary mentions; to Danny Wicks for `Duckin' Breeze'; Hailey Benevides, Victoria Amaral, Jennifer Roberts, Heidi Bapiste, Sarah Lusher for `Do You Ear What I Hear'; Lacey Dobson for `Forever On The Go'.
Human Biology Third place; Cullen O'Hara and John Kershaw for `Running Low on Sugar' experiment; Lyndsay Terceira for `Colour Blindness, A Disease that Discriminates', experiment; Veronica DaCosta and Nea Richardson for `Herbal Life' experiment.

General Biology First place went to Daniel Rance for `The Best Household Liquid for Growing Plants' experiment.
