Duquesne University in Pittsburgh next year.

The news came this week from a university spokesman who added that the championship, which Bermuda has competed in previously and is set to compete in again next year, is tentatively scheduled for January 28 through February 5.

"To date, high school students, teachers and judges from more than 30 countries are expected to attend the Debating Championship at Duquesne University,'' he said. "The theme for the upcoming championship is Ethical Issues in the New Millennium.'' Other countries which have participated in past championships include Argentina, Canada, Greece, Pakistan and South Africa.
