School.
Chardonnai, 13, wants to become a special education teacher so that she can help other people. She plans to get her training at a Canadian college.
She describes herself as being very intelligent and a good role model for her peers. She sees herself going far in life.
Her favourite subject in school is English because she likes to write stories and read.
She got her nickname Granny because some of her peers say that she acts old.
She enjoys bowling, playing the piano and knitting.
Chardonnai's favourite food is pizza, her favourite music is rhythm & blues, and her favourite television show is What's Happenin'. Her favourite movie is Free Willy because "it touched me and showed me that I shouldn't take things for granted.'' The person that Chardonnai would most like to meet is Oprah Winfrey. "I think she is a good role model for people that want to be in the talk show industry.'' She wishes that people in general would become good leaders instead of following other people.
She sees crime as society's main problem. To solve this problem she would get people of the streets. She would have youth centres built to keep the young people busy.
In 15 years' time Chardonnai thinks that more guns will be coming into the Island and more people will die as a result if the recent crime wave doesn't subside.
She can imagine a crime-free Bermuda in 15 years only if people make an effort to stop the violence. "People will get along and work together and there will be fewer people hanging out on the streets.'' Chardonnai doesn't have any brothers or sisters. And she says even though it gets lonely sometimes she has the advantage of not having to share as much as those who have siblings.
If she had an open ticket to anywhere in the world Chardonnai would go to Paris. "I want to see the models and the fashions there. I would like to go somewhere different for a change.'' INTERVIEW by KRISTY WARREN
