Scouts and Cubs celebrate St. George's Day

Marching to the beat of the scout band, around 130 cubs, scouts and adult leaders paraded at St. Peter's Church in St. George's on April 22.

Bermuda's Governor and Chief Scout, Thorold Masefield, received the salute during the march past.

During the church service new leaders representing new groups received their leader warrants from the Chief Scout: Earlston Robinson of the 31st Elliot School Cub Pack who has returned to active leadership.

Dennis Emery and Mr. Vincent John Jnr -- new leaders of the 32nd St. Paul's AME Cub Pack.

Danny Moore, the new leader of the 33nd Scout Troop at Sandys Middle School Darren Millet -- the new leader of the 34th Scout Troop at Port Royal school Andrew Hope -- an experienced Scout leader from Bristol, UK, who leads the 22nd Scout Troop at Dellwood Middle School.

On the march: Above, new Scout leader Darren Millet with the 34th cub pack based at the Port Royal School. They are followed by the 32nd troop based at St. Paul's AME. And pictured, right above, is Chief Commissioner Gary Dowling receiving a ceremonial snake stick from former Chief Commissioner Dr. Vincent John.
