The event I am going to talk about is my first Field Hockey Tournament.

I was on the Red team. We had won two games and lost one game. We were in a tie with the Green team. This was the last game to decide who comes first or second.

The score was 2 Green, 1 Red in the second half. Red had the strong players but we did not know how to work together to get the goal to tie the game.

Amazing! We got another goal! Green got so mad and tried too hard so they missed the shot they took. When we got the ball back we shot up the line, but their goal keeper was a bit too good.

We passed the ball in the triangle and shot again. We missed. Green got the ball. We got it back. We took the ball up the line, shot. Missed!

Green took the ball up the line passed back, got in position and shot. We got the winning goal. Two seconds later the game was over. For the whole tournament, we won.

Green got so mad! We were so happy we ran around the field four times. After we finished our laps we went back to pack up our stuff.

Then there was a big surprise, we got medals and ribbons. I stayed around to help my team and help pack up.

We got soda, chips and hamburgers. We really enjoyed that.

The Red team never worked as well as we did that day in our next field tournament, but it was so much fun when we did.

That is the event I participated in and I loved it so much I never gave up that sport, Field Hockey, even now.
