Get hands on art instruction at Masterworks' Arts for All next month

Artist Bruce Stuart talks to a people who took part in last year's Arts for All Extravaganza.

Arts for All is set to go ahead for the second year at the Masterworks Foundation of Bermuda Art from December 27-30.

This event is a celebration of the arts, which offers free art workshops for all ages and art demonstrations open to the public every day, said Masterworks education coordinator Carrie Zenti.

“Masterworks is pleased to host this event that exposes the community to the Island’s talented artists and showcases the variety of art being created in Bermuda,” said Ms Zenti. “The schedule of free workshops offers a chance for people of any age and ability to have a hands-on art experience with local and visiting artists.

“We hope to inspire all to engage in this family-oriented event at Masterworks over the holidays — come be a part of it!”

Masterworks is also appealing to the arts community to contact the foundation to become involved with the event. Masterworks is asking artists to participate by giving a demonstration or teaching a workshop, etc.

“Masterworks has a broad base of artists who provide ongoing support and have shared their creative energy with us over the years, however, we welcome new faces to come be a part of this event,” Ms Zenti said.

“We would like to expand on the diverse selection of participants from last year.”

Registration for the free workshops will begin on December 11 and a schedule of workshops will appear that day in The Royal Gazette.
